I am currently in the final stages of building the house. I think the design of the house is great. I especially like the floor plan, it truly looks like a real home with hallways, corners to turn and rooms on all 4 sides of the house. It certainly can become a beauty of a home if one is willing to commit to the sanding, sanding and sanding process.

We start assembling tomorrow. I'm sure if I get the right sealant, paint, stain and glue it won't really be flimsy in the end. I may dip in paint more than once to make the planks ridged and stiff. I'm impressed with the price and it makes up for the cost of the paint etc. Can't wait, my daughter is so excited!

I had a dollhouse like this one as a child, so I thought I would get this fr my daughter as a project to do together. The pieces are difficult to remove from the ply-wood that they are cut from and many of the pieces are falling apart because the wood is so flimsy. I am having to do much more of the work than I planned because of the amount of sanding involved to make the pieces fit together properly. I love the design, I just wish the quality of the materials were better.

      Once you understand the process of the directions, it goes very easily. You need to break out the parts needed for a certain section from the numbered pages- I marked them so I knew what I had taken out - then just glue with Dollhouse glue and proceed. The dollhouse glue is great if you make a mistake - I painted and added bricks and stuff as I went along. Love the variety of rooms and the size is perfect for a table size display - not too big to handle. Loved working on the project and loved the results. Great family project.
