All you need is a little handiwork and a bit of imagination to make the Greenleaf Storybook Cottage Dollhouse Kit - 1 Inch Scale come to life. This kit includes all materials needed to construct the wooden cottage frame, as well as a nine-piece furniture set. The delightful design features a main floor, attic, two bay windows, porch, shutters, flower box, sign, fish scale shingles, and plenty of traditional gingerbread trim. The wood furniture kit includes everything you'll need to create an inviting story time setting: sofa/daybed, chest with pull-down desk, cafe table with three chairs, two reading chairs, and a coffee table. Wall decorations include two shelves, framed photos, and a round clock.
Once assembled, the dollhouse will have a true miniature scale of 1 inch = 1 foot. This Greenleaf dollhouse kit contains all the pre-cut plywood and plastic window parts needed. The parts feature an easy tab-and-slot assembly requiring no nails, screws, or tools. Any wood glue or a hot melt glue gun can be used to assemble the kits in just hours. This dollhouse kit does not come with paint or other decorations. Age recommendations: Assembly - 12 and up. Assembly with parent - 7 and up. Finished houses are not recommended for young children.

Can't rate it as we never received it. We waited 2 weeks after getting charged to find out the item still hadn't shipped. Went circles with Hayneedle to resolve the issue but they were of no help. Finally decided to cancel and the following day the item shipped, only to be stopped during shiping and sent back, all the while our $$ tied up.Big time failure on Hayneedle end and WILL NEVER do business with again ever. And will spread the word as well as contact BBB and file a complaint. Notice to future customers Hayneedle will not allow you to contact the vendor that actually sells the item which in my case would have cleared up a lot of miscommunication.
Service and delivery comments:
Was suppose to get it in 3-5 buisness days 2 weeks later still no shipment, failed attempts at contacting Hayneedle and wasn't allowed to contact the actual seller of the item. Should of known better buying something off of a third party, next time I will stick to purchasing direct from the original dealer and cutout the middle man (Hayneedle).

I have finished a few big nice Dollhouses that other people started and then gave up, so this is the first one I have gotten to start from scratch on. I am going to make an English Pub out of it for me and I'm 63 years old but it should be fun.

I read a review of this product that complained about this being bad and made of card board. I am so glad that I took a chance on it. This has been great to put together with my daughter (9 yrs). We have had a blast and she has had so much fun with getting to decorate this House. It is actually bigger than I had thought. I think that for the small price that we paid it has been well worth it. I do warn that you do have to pay attention as the directions say or you will end up with your window upside down and glued into place (like us). We decided it just adds character to the already cozy house we built.
